| Transportation usage is the main role of the road. Besides of that, the streets which are included in the road category have other responsibilities, such as life services and viewing, which mean a lot more than the simple definition of road. Beautiful views of the city can leave great impression on people. Architect Jean Jacob said,"The first thing that comes to our mind is streets and square centers when we think about city, streets with life make the whole city more alive, and vise versa."With the development of the economics and culture, with the change of people's life style, the road will play more roles in the city life. Besides their role of transportation, they take on the responsibility to pass on the culture, satisfy people's viewing pleasure, and at the same time supply the place for communication, shopping, eating, entertainment and amusement. So the viewing of the road can be anything but ignored. However, due to some political, economic, and cultural issues, the building of road is still been constrained to only offer transportation means. Along with the development of cities, the improvement of living conditions, satisfying people's spiritual needs has raise up to a new level. View building of the road will definitely beautify the city; satisfy people's physical and spiritual needs. But in the process, because of the blind westernization, rent perusing of people in charge and also poor governmental structure, the roads view building is still at a low level. As a result, a systematic research of roads designing is nothing but urgent. This paper examines the designing of the roads viewing and the reconstruction of the old roads, combined with recent big construction work going on in He fei, in the hope to help with practical needs.
