The characteristics of modern power grid are closed-loop design and open-loop operation. The 500kV grid of China Southern Power Grid (CSG) is closed-loop operation, but most of the 220kV grid is open-loop operation and almost of the 110kV gird is open-loop operation, it is operating for radial structure. This mode is good for management and maintenance, but there is great danger for power supply reliability. If the lines failure or arrangement of the maintenance, the power supply will be fail. In order to guarantee the power supply reliability, 110kV power can be designed in unit connection or the way of single operation in double ended design. It can be uninterrupted power supply switch through the closed-loop operation.After the CSG proposed the service concept of "Customer-focused, improve the power supply reliability", it had been improved unprecedented height of the reliability for users. It is imperative to operate the grid on the non-power switch power supply. There are a lot of world's leading manufacturers in the Dongguan power grid. In order to meet the requirement of reliability of power users, uninterrupted power supply means have transferred more power as the current main strategy. However, with the Guangdong power grid and Dongguan power grid becomes increasingly complex, if it is blind to operate the non-power switch power supply, it will cause serious impact on the transient power grid instability and increased the risk of collapse.So it is very necessary to do the research on the Dongguan 110 kV power grid. By researching the non-transferred power supply problems of the 110kV power grid, analyzes on transient and steady state problems of the non-transferred power supply, solves problems on the operation of the non-transferred power supply.According to the research on the Dongguan 110 kV power grid, it can be treated in slice partition (which can be transferred between areas and not to be). And proposed the implementation of appropriate measures and steps to which can be transferred between areas. In order to increase the success rate of power transfer by combining the incomplete dispatcher trends of Dongguan power grid, and timely discovered the hidden dangers and risk, proposed measures to enhance security for defense, which can provide scientific guidance for power grid planning and the construction of the system, also it can provide reliable basis for the dispatching operation.
