In recent years, China is experiencing rapid growth both in economy and urbanization while it is in a period of transition from a planned economy to a socialist market economy. Dramatic changes have been undertaken in society, economy, culture, science, this followed by the changes in lifestyle and the mode of production. With the rapid expansion of the economic scale and the development of urbanization over 30 years,China is challenged with the task of accelerated the development of rural areas where there are more than half of the country's population. So concerning the development of vast rural areas is the call of the times and the threshold that we must leap to get sustainable development. Without sustainable development of rural areas, there will not be sustainable development of the whole country. The speed and level of their development are far behind urban areas. Therefore, the starting point of this paper is concerning about the development of rural areas and the construction of new village.Zhuban village is a village without any factories and the main source of its income is from traditional agriculture and off farm work in the last past two decades. In this paper, I want to explore the law and characteristics of the evolution of space about private space, public space, production space, transportation and space of rural settlements with the methods of social anthropology and architecture typology from macro-sociology and micro-sociology in the past century, and take an analysis on deep-rooted factors of the spatial evolution of various types, summing up the law, characteristics and problems in the evolution of rural settlements. Finally I put forward for some development strategy and recommendations for the law, characteristics and problems about the villages which are similar to the village of Zhuban in rural settlement.
