The research object of this thesis is a new kind of light-gauge steel joist structure system. The basic unit of this system is truss, which is composed of square (rectangular) tubes and clips connected by screws. Because of possessing many advantages such as light weight, higher standardizing, assigning space flexible, good performance of the seismic resistant, industrialization producing, short constructing period, protecting environment and economizing energy source etc, this system is widely used and studied. This structure system is at the stage of popularization and researching in China, but the market demand is so large for the low/multiple-story residential building and middle/small span building.Taking the steel-tube truss nodal connected by standard clips and screws as the research object, this thesis covers the followings:For the new light-gauge steel joist structure system, the connecting method of each kind of steel truss nodes is introduced in this thesis, the reason is found for the nut cap of screw being sheared under the designing load, and a designing method is provided for the nodes which connected by screws and clips.Base oh the experimental results, the thesis provides the finite element building techniques of clip nodes; gets the limiting bearing capacity and failure model of classical clips under station of axial press. The finite element analysis results are compared with the experimental data, proving the building model method is precise, which can be taken as a theoretical analysis method for these kinds of nodes.Base on a series of finite element analysis, considering the change of thickness of clip and tube, the limit bearing capacity and load-displacement curve of each kind of clip nodes are obtained, which are provided references for the clip nodes designing.The research results of the thesis can provide the theoretical supporting and numerical reference for the application of the new light-gauge steel joist structure system.
