The Research On Landscape Planning And Design Of Urban Waterfront Based On The Water Culture

In the compact of the urban waterfront re-exploiture in the western countries, and the self-need of our own development, urban waterfront landscape planning now is flourishing in China. However, there are some problems in the existing urban waterfront:lacking of local characteristic, lacking of comfort, and destroying of natural ecological system. Based on the theory "harmony but different" in Beijing Charter, and the conception of "landscape city", this article is to discuss landscape planning and design of city, and how to use the water culture in the urban waterfront.Through analyzing, the author pointed out that water culture is a core element in China culture, also local water culture is a core element in a subculture. Besides, water culture effects on people's mind, emotion, and esthetics, including inornate ecological idea. Therefore, there will be useful to inherit the subculture, to satisfy the esthetics, and to protect the environment.In this article, the author analyzed the feature and function of the urban waterfront area, and summarized the inside and outside of water culture. Through that the author realized that the traditional water culture, including Chinese landscape paintings, Chinese landscape poems, and the art theory in Fengshui, could be used in the urban waterfront planning. These three ideas above are not only the idealization of creation, but also inornate ecological idea.In this article, the author pointed out some methods to process the space distribution, and the forming of atmosphere and artistic conception. What is more, the author insist that saving water, protecting and curing water pollution are scientific methods to direct urban waterfront area planning, the author also insist that protecting the water inheritance and public water space is very important. Planning an urban waterfront landscape design, the author thinks we should cater the public needs. When analyzing the type of the water space based on function, the author provides some methods to create the space. Also the author thinks the landscape elements should be combined with water culture. The author provides some methods to combine the bank, plants, and landscape architecture with water culture.In the last part of this thesis,taking the project of Juzizhou landscape design for example, on the basis of the viewpoints given in the preceding, and combining with flood controlling, tourism, leisure, entertainment, it discusses how to embody and use water culture on Juzizhou island,aiming at through the test of practice to get the point.
