HXD3 AC drive electric locomotives is CNR Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. and Toshiba jointly developed 6-axis high-power AC drive electric freight locomotives, electric railway traction is mainly used for heavy goods trains and fast trains. According to the contract requirements, using high-power asynchronous traction motor locomotives, traction transformers, IGBT devices composed of water-cooled converters, computer network control system, brake wheel, independent air cooling technology, locomotive axis power 1200kW, the maximum use of speed 120km/h. Gai Xingji car should have traction, wide constant power speed range, good adhesion properties, high efficiency, low energy consumption, low maintenance and so on. The subject of discussion in the hope that the technology for electric locomotive auxiliary system of some theoretical issues.HXD3 AC drive electric locomotives with LCI auxiliary converter system, installed two identical auxiliary converters, respectively, and in accordance with VVVF motor CVCF way to the auxiliary power supply. Each auxiliary converter by four-quadrant rectifier, intermediate DC circuit, inverter and associated control circuit. System also has a secondary over current circuit, overload, and overvoltage and under voltage protection, etc... HXD3 electric locomotive auxiliary power supply system by the auxiliary converter is the locomotive of the auxiliary equipment to the power supply, instead of the traditional power mode splitter. The system has three-phase output voltage stability, balance, energy saving, low noise, maintenance work etc, and conducive to the auxiliary motor is running, and that the system is redundant design, and effectively guarantee the normal use of the locomotive.
