RV reducer used in robot is a new drive developed from cycloid, along with increasing request of high speed, heavy load, light weight and revolution steady, dynamics characteristic has already became an indispensable important part in the machine design. RV reducer is still at the research stage,systematic dynamics characteristic property study of RV reducer by virtual prototyping is still very few. The article included three aspect of finite element method modal, solid modeling and suppositional assembling, dynamics analyse,as followed:(1) Adopted the Pro/E software to built the three-dimensional of RV reduction gear,on the basis of establishing the real model of RV-250AII reduction gear,analyze the important modes of crank shaft and planet carrier with software Ansys that finite element analyzes in the situation of free border and real border. Through analyzing the natural frequency simulation result and so on,obtained a frequency range of the parts,which resonated easily with natural frequency of the complete machine and offered suggestions of improving,carryed out analysis on the improved model, taked increasing the diameter of the crank axis'neck and decreasing planet wheel's mass as example, had verified that it had certain effect to change natural frequency and avoid resonance.Getting the biggest rigid body displacement's position through the displacement and nodes distortion chart,It will be meaningful to the RV reduction gear's optimization design.(2) Completed the complete machine's assembly in three dimensional modelling software Pro/E and makes essential simplified for the analysis, had guaranteed the assembly model accuracy by interference check.Completed the rigid body'definition,marker establishment and simple restrict establishment by interface software mech/pro, all for mading prepare for inducting Adams.(3) Completed dynamics analysis of models after interfacing in Adams,including theoretical calculation; model accuracy confirmation; velocity analysis of various transmissions part; acceleration time domain and frequency range analysis; contact force analysis between cycloidal gear and needle teeth; contact force analysis between the cycloidal gear and outputs planet carrier;obtain curves and had confirmed prototype's dynamics characteristic by analysing curves.This virtual prototype had provided the essential data and the analysis foundation for the physical prototype's manufacture and the test, meanwhile had provided the important basis for optimizing of the structure and the performance, the vibration,the noise and the life analysis, therefore had the important theory significance and the practical significance.
