Geer-reducer is a typical transmission mechanism which is applied abroad in modern machinery, the character in kinematics and dynamics of transmission is related to the reliability of transmission directly. It is very important than the application of virtual prototyping technology not only improves simulation technique's precision, but also shortens the design-cycle. Based on Virtual Prototype, engineers can find underlying problems just during products design by simulating the mechanical system, and revise them quickly so as to throw off the Physical Prototype, which not only can save the cost of design and manufacturing and reduce the cycle of products development, but also can elevate products' performance and enhance products' competition.This paper has taken the one-levers gear reducer as research object, devised the structure of the reducer, and build all parts of the reducer based on the parameterized design in pro/e. A virtual assembly and the simulation analysis of reducer are work out through the assembly module of Pro/e. Interference check in the motion process indicates the reducer's geometry parameters are reasonable.Some parameters used in simulation of contact-force in spur gears and is presented based on Hertz formula. Then, the multi-body dynamics simulation model of the gear train mechanism is established in the thesis. The consistency of the simulation result and the calculated result of the magnitude and frequency of the contact force in gears and the angular velocity and angular acceleration indicates that the virtual prototype model is reliable and the simulation results are credible.The structural dynamics characteristics of the output shaft are analyzed through the Finite Element Analysis. Based on the FE model of the output shaft, the modality neutrality file used by simulation model of the flexible system is created; the multi-body dynamics simulation model of the flexible system is established in the thesis. Through the dynamics analysis of the flexible system, analysis the influence of the flexible object- output shaft to the whole system.The output shaft is the key part of reducer which decides the system's dynamic capability. According to results to the simulation analysis, many kinds of load-spectrum is acquired, and they are transferred to ANSYS, this paper analyzes the stress of the output shaft by use of the finite element method. The distribution of stress, the rangers of stress concentration and the results for the actual deformation of this gear shaft are determined by FEA.
