Industrial manufacturing is becoming more and more automatic with the rapid development of science technology, while solenoid valve, the main control element of control system, has been attached considerable attention in industrial field with advantages of fast response, simple structure, anti-pollution, good reproducibility, steady and reliable action, small size, light weight, low power consumption, low price and so on. This paper analyzes in detail both static and dynamic performances of solenoid valve, including flow rate characteristic, response characteristic, lifespan, seal, minimum control pressure, and the pull-in and release voltage of solenoid, based on which a performance measurement system is designed, and some experiments are made to deepen the understanding of characteristics of pneumatic solenoid valve.In chapter 1, the research progress of solenoid valve is introduced to show its extensive usage and importance, and the domestic and abroad current research status of measurement system for solenoid valve are analyzed and summarized, by which the significance and objective of this research are given.In chapter 2, from standpoints of the structure and working principle of solenoid valve, the performances of pneumatic solenoid valve are detailed analyzed, and the actual tested objects are got with the testing methods are detailed analyzed based on related international standards, national standards and industry standards.In chapter 3, the design plan of performance measurement system for pneumatic solenoid valve is presented, while the hardware, software and the critical points during the design are stated explicitly.In chapter 4, a 2 way 5 position single electric control pneumatic solenoid valve is tested using the measurement system, and the data are briefly analyzed, which provides basis for optimization of solenoid valve.In chapter 5, all achievements of the dissertation are summarized and the further research work is put forward.
