The reconfigurable mechanical test system of automobile parts & components is the test system that the users can reselect models and change system architecture to match test process with system function when the kind of parts or the test item is changed. The reconfigurable test system can improve the reusability of the test equipments and accelerate the transformation and upgrade of production lines in enterprises. With financially supported by NSFC (No.51005206), the key technologies of reconfigurable test system were studied along the design flow of the test system. The main research results are as follows:A design method of reconfigurable mechanical test system based on the way that divides test process into actuating-measuring process and locating process was researched. After analyzing the similarity element of mechanical test of automobile parts & components, the fact that the mechanical test could be described as determining the position and orientation of actuating-measuring motion on parts & component was found. Design method of test system was established based on it.A model of test system and its reconfiguration method was researched based on Holon theory. The system logic architecture was composed by four levels:system Holon, advanced Holon, base Holon and bottom module in vertical direction. The system physical architecture composed by actuating-measuring Holon mainly, supplemented by space orientation Holon in horizontal direction. The way that describing the Holon with formal models and manage the Holon with tabular layouts of article characteristics was researched. Reconfiguration method based on the model was studied at last.Technologies of design and reconfiguration method of mechanical system were researched with screw theory. Method of kinematics modeling the test process and the function target of system with homogeneous transformation matrix was studied. Technology of designing mechanical models which could match free position and orientation in space was discussed. Mechanical models were designed in details. Kinematics model of each mechanical model was established. The reconfiguration method of mechanical system of reconfigurable test system was studied.Technologies of modeling the control system and developing software based on virtual instrument was researched. Based on system model, layered model of control system was established to support hardware and software reconfiguration. Control hardware was designed and software based on NI Labview development environment was developed. The control model was established and optimized and the controller was designed using Simulink and its Signal Constraint model. The reconfiguration method of control system of reconfigurable test system was studied.Finally, the feasibility of the methods and technologies was verified through constructing examples of different test platforms.
