As Mediterranean and Pacific two large belt junction area, Our country has been a relatively serious earthquake country. However, Chinese architecture in seismic research is very slow, before 70's's building generally did not consider aseismatic fortify. Meanwhile many new houses have also doesn't satisfy the requirements of seismic code. Therefore, combining the wenchuan earthquake, in the earthquake region, the existing research building aseismatic appraisal, further explore houses, the causes of the earthquake damage happens easy happening earthquake research houses the weak link, the seismic strengthening measures to ensure the safety in construction is very necessary.This paper focused on the following research work:1) The investigation by the Wenchuan earthquake damage in the building structure form, and the corresponding distribution situation. In the study collect with the field materials studied in wenchuan, classification of different structure form the typical characteristics of disaster housing and take the anti-seismic measures on anti-seismic measures, analysis of seismic effects.2) On this basis, multi-story masonry structure housing is aseismatic appraisal method thorough research, according to the existing aseismatic appraisal method for a fifth floor brick masonry structure, building construction aseismatic appraisal. Results show that the results with existing appraisal method does not conform with the actual earthquake that existing aseismatic appraisal method is imperfect.3) According to the above brick masonry structure, establishing a reasonable houses the mechanics calculation model, and analyses the aseismatic appraisal, explore and aseismic capacity calculating of the seismic overturning between layers of multi-story masonry buildings wall influence. After the study calculated in seismic intensity that under the action of multi-story masonry buildings, although this meet the standard, the seismic requirements for the aseismic accrediting also meet the requirements, but in consideration of seismic overturning the wall between layer under the influence of the bottom of the house, the structure of wall and edge as weak part, the bearing capacity can't meet the requirements, still can happen earthquake damage. In addition, in checking horizontal earthquake effect, normally, multi-story masonry structure of the wall only consider interlaminar shear capacity and structure, but overall overthrown in overturning, structure, interlayer wall under the action by bending or eccentric loading capacity may also do not satisfy the requirements of large eccentric loading, occur, thus affecting the aseismatic capacity building. So, overturning the wall caused large eccentric loading earthquake also cause masonry buildings of the important cause damage, which should be paid enough attention.4) The earthquake of Wenchuan earthquake through the analysis of the summary earthquake-resistant calculation, the basis of analysis evaluation generally adopted at present, and in the light of anti-seismic measures by the earthquake, the existing problems of the houses in the construction of all kinds of houses in analysis of deficiency, and then puts forward the Suggestions for increasing buidings anti-seismic capability.
