The subject study was to explore the humane spatial patterns of service space of public buildings. Through the survey and research of the history and current situation of the domestic and international public buildings, papers found the strengths and weaknesses of the domestic buildings in this area, and explored the way of solution.From the theory of service space of Louis·Kang, articles puts forward the concept of service space of this issue. From the point of view of Environment Behavior Study and Architectural Phenomenology, papers discuss the relationship of behaviors and experiences of human and the service space of public buildings theoretically. Based on the investigation of several public buildings in Zhongguancun area, papers call into questions to the unreasonable public buildings. Meanwhile, combined with the cases of the MOMA, Frankfurt banks, the Central Academy of Fine Arts and coffeehouses, papers analyze and summarize spatial patterns of humane service space of the public buildings.The level corridor pattern of the air, the pattern of the sky garden, the pattern of embedded, the pattern of the street scene are able to provide human services space for public buildings. This is the conclusion of the subject. The spatial patterns for those unreasonable domestic existing public buildings are important, they can work effectively to improve people's living conditions and to enhance people's quality of life. However, these spatial patterns of human service space are only on a small step of the exploration, more possibilities of the space patterns need more intensive study.Papers consider that the growing human, diversity, integration of work and life of the services space of the public buildings is a contemporary development trend. For those people who live fast-paced in the cities which develop rapidly, humane service space of the public buildings can improve efficiency, but also improve the quality of life and meet the spiritual and cultural and recreational needs, or even guide the new lifestyle and values.
