TRIZ, FMEA and AFD are integrated, and the improving design process model of mechanical product based on TRIZ/AFD/FMEA is constructed in this article. Then the model is applied in the clamping automobile tires conveyance.This model consists of mainly the acquisition of customer requirement anticipatory failure determination and problem-solving three stages.Using acquisition and analysis of customer requirement as the navigation, construct the frame model that analyze customer requirement from internal product based on the technology evolution theory of TRIZ,we will combines customer base requirement,regulatory requirement with failure determination, potential requirement is combined with problem-solving stage, finally, meet customer requirement by problem- solving tools of TRIZ, break through the traditional mind-set limits on the designer, and improve customer satisfactionof products.Using anticipatory failure determination as the guarantee, by the integration AFD and FMEA, the designer can acquire fully the potential failure modes and occurred failure modes(associate with customer base,regulatory requirement)and their occurred reason, and sort by RPN, thereby can acquire the important failure modes. In this stage, the integration of AFD and FMEA, overcome the following two drawbacks:missing the stage which select the important failure modes in AFD and require the higher professional level's designer in selecting the important failure modes of FMEA; make the components value analysis data of the clamping automobile tires conveyance by Pro/I, and make the analysis data as the severity reference of FMEA, reduce the workload of S, thereby increase the efficiency of product improvement.Using solving failure problems and meeting customer requirement as the purpose, we introduce the conflict resolution,effect etc of TRIZ into the important failure modes which's RPN more than X and potential requirement, acquire the problem's innovative solutions, thereby construct a benign closed-loop system which the improving design and evaluation through, the integration of TRIZ and AFD/FMEA, not only provides a set of reasoning and logical process of anticipatory failure determination, but also provides precisely a effective method of solving failure problems.Finally, the improving design process model of mechanical product is applied in the innovative design of the clamping automobile tires conveyance, and propose a conceptual design of the clamping vertically automobile tires conveyance, in theory, solve the following problems:excessive damage of the clamping level,the roller's abrasion,the car's rollover prevention, and then evaluate its rationality, the results show that the program is reasonable and this model is feasible in theory.
