In recent years, railway construction has undergone a rapid growth in China, with characteristics of huge project scale, high technical standard and fast construction speed. Safety management during railway construction covers a very wide scale and requires excellent technique. However, owing to harshness and hardness in safety management in railway construction and unqualification informationization technique in its safety management, railway quality and its construction schedule have been greatly affected by the lag-behind informatization technology. Thus, it is of great value to implement the modern idea of safety management and informatization technology which aim to realize the informatization of safety management during railway construction.Based on current situations of safety information management in railway construction project, this dissertation integrates the requirements of Standardized management of railway construction to make study of its safety information system with general theories and methods in safety management. It begins with analysis on general theories and methods and then illustrates characteristics of railway construction project to bring forward closed-loop management method that is CHECK-REPORT-REVISE-RECHECK.Following according to requirements of Standardized management of railway construction, more detailed analysis on the needs of safety management are conducted to work out a design by probing into different methods on data, respectively classifying, coding and collecting. By the end of the dissertation, it provides some application situations of safety information system in Hongwu Railway Construction Headquarters of Urumqi Railway Bureau. In conclusion, the system is well applied in safety training management, safety check, safety technology management, risk and incidents management, comprehensive safety analysis, etc., which reflects its practicability and applicability.
