With the development of container freight and logistics operation, railway station of containers has a rapid development mode in large-scale, specialization and modernization direction. In order to further promote the rapid development of China's container transport, the 18 railway container terminals are being built in full swing. Facing the fierce competition and the increasing container throughput, the managers have to take measures to optimize the resource allocation and reduce the operational cost. With the rational allocation of handing equipment, the overall competitiveness of railway container terminals can be improved. And therefore, studying railway container terminals handing equipment is very necessary.In this thesis, firstly, the function and layout of the railway container terminal have been introduced, and then, several operation flow and necessaries equipment types in the each operation section have been to detailed analyzed. Secondly, the thesis discusses the problems and methods that should be noticed in the choice of equipment. Thirdly, there are some studies of the configuration in quantity:comprehensive cost modes in the stage of planning and the binomial probability model in the operating period. Finally, the introduction of coordinated evaluation model proving mathematical methods and theory for the rational allocation of handling equipment of the railway container terminals, used AHP to establish container terminals equipment, coordination of evaluation index system configuration and to determine the index weight.
