"5.12" Wenchuan earthquake had caused thousands of residential housings collapsed in towns and villages, strong seismic intensity of which is one reason, the other reason is poor seismic performance of residential housing in village, makes the housing in the earthquake can not resist the impact of the earthquake forces.According to a survey of towns and villages housing structure mainly is the type of masonry structure in our country, As the wall is mainly load-bearing element of masonry structure, and greater stiffness of its own, was relatively strong earthquake action in the earthquake. As masonry structure have some characteristics of its material itself:poor ductility, low shear strength and so on, coupled with s the design is not standardized, do't guarantee the quality of construction when the construction of residential housing, and economic conditions of the reasons for it not set the basic ring beams, columns and other structural measures in a number of structural damping, there could make the housing is very prone to damage in the earthquake. How to improve the seismic performance of masonry structure housing, made of existing towns and villages housing propose more suitable damping becomes very necessary reinforcement measures.Therefore, this article is organized by the National Science and Technology Project "Rural Residential Planning Design and Construction Standards" in funding, pursue a research project of Residential housing Seismic Technology and Standards" (2008BAJ08B14). Analysis some of the characteristics of masonry structures using carbon fiber sheet reinforcement, and using the finite element tool take the static and dynamic analysis of single wall, the overall structure, proposed the feasibility of use CFRP reinforcement masonry structure housing.The main work is as following:(1) To residential housing a comparative analysis for some the common damping vibration isolation measures and reinforcement programs, identified the use of carbon fiber sheet reinforced masonry structure is more feasible damping reinforcement.(2) Using finite element analysis software established not be reinforced walls, adding carbon fiber cloth and accession structural column three cases the model, imposing on the load of the level of the same size, comparison of three kinds of conditions of the wall load-displacement curve, educe CFRP reinforcement wall can effectively reduce the structural deformation.(3) Select the seismic wave on the structure of housing for dynamic time-history analysis, comparison of three cases of displacement-time curve, and the peak of the total displacement time history, used for determine CFRP reinforcement for masonry can resist seismic forces, is a relatively feasible measures for seismic reinforcement.
