In modern industry, the velocity regulating system which is composed of motor and the part of control plays a decisive part. With many advantages such as the little loss, high efficiency and simple structure, permanent magnet synchronous motor has becoming the main control object of the velocity regulating system. Therefore, researches and designs of permanent magnet synchronous motor velocity regulating system to meet the industrial needs have become more and more important.The composition, the application status and the development prospects of the permanent magnet synchronous motor velocity regulating system are studied. With the analysis of the structure and characteristics of permanent magnet synchronous motor, a control system model is established. In this model, transformation theory is applied, vector control method is introduced, the direct axis current which is zero and the field oriented control strategy are selected. The SVPWM modulation technology to construct speed and current double-loop control structure of the permanent magnet synchronous motor velocity regulating system is used. Traditional closed-loop motor velocity regulating system has problems for the motor starting, braking and speed regulating in a wide range, because the normal saturation of PI regulator is easy to be in windup. The anti-windup PI regulator which is designed can be resistant to a saturated output. Commonly used method for measuring the speed is the M or T speed detection method, but their measurement accuracy is low when the motor run in a low speed, and they has lag issues when the motor make a rapid change. So the M/T speed detection is used for the system. After the analyzing the model of velocity regulating system and the method of construction for double-loop velocity regulating system, the architecture of vector-controlled velocity regulating system of PMSM based on the DSP hardware platform is given in details, and software applications in C language under the development environment of CCS3.3 for the velocity regulating system is also completed.Finally, the permanent magnet synchronous motor vector-controlled velocity regulating system is modeled and simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment, and the tests are accomplished in the actual hardware and software platform to validate performance of speed control. That verifies the design of the velocity regulating system can be used to complete the closed loop control for motor speed. Compared to the traditional motor speed control system, this design makes the permanent magnet synchronous motor velocity regulating system has a wider speed range, good dynamic response and excellent interference immunity, which has the practical value.
