Since the wind power plants are usually built in remote area, the operator has to set the topological structure of wind power plants, communication and parameter of wind power equipments at construction site one by one which is hard to be operated and maintained. Along with the expanding of the wind power plants, there must be more equipments to be introduced which are provided by different wind power manufacturing companies. At the present time, most of the control system and monitoring system which provide communication protocol and date are appropriative of the manufacturing company, and how to communicate depends on the manufacturing company entirely. Some time it is difficult to continue the work of engineering configuration due to the incompatible system when there are more than two wind power manufacturing companies. Engineers have to spend lots of time and resource to transform protocols or maintain data.The research of this paper is on the technology of uniform configuration and management based on the environment of the typical information different constructed which is introduced above. Refer the successful experience of application of SCL (Substation Configuration description Language) which is used in transformer substation, integrating technology of XML (Extensible Markup Language), communications model for monitoring and control in IEC61400-25 and database. This paper has provided a method to analyze the functional module inside and the communication outside the wind turbine, define WPPCL (Wind power plant Configuration Language), establish a wind turbine uniform configuration model, complete description of wind power plant standardization configuration files, design wind power plant configuration tools and a series of methods to achieve the unification of engineering configuration of wind power plant. The main contributions of this thesis are as follows:Thesis has analyzed the method of modeling of wind power plant information model and the information exchange model, and the characteristic of SCL language, defined WPPCL; established the configuration model of wind turbine by the research on the internal function and the external communication of XE72 wind power generator which is made by XEMC Wind power.Thesis has achieved a unified and complete describing by using the method of encapsulation data in sections within files and extension of the SCL language with XML based on configuration model. Has designed a configuration tool based on IEC61400-25 which congregate the functions of configuration interface, XML parser, element orientation, transformation between WPPCL document and tree controls, WPPCL document generation and equipment data storage, which is complete uniform configuration and management of wind power plant by using standard configuration files transmission.The research of this thesis is useful to achieve uniform configuration and management of wind power plant by providing a series of methods which is effective to solve the uniform configuration problem in wind power plant.
