With the national economic development, social power load has increased rapidly, grid scale has become more and more large, structure has become more and more complex, as a management and command, the difficulty of the gird management of Dispatchers is greater and greater. Especially breaking down, if dispatchers do not timely processing, secondary accident could happen, that will expand influence.Now, with the automation level gradually improved, some new equipment, new technologies have been applied in the power grid, for example: energy management system(EMS), supervisory control and data acquisition(SCADA), Wide Area Measurement System(WAMS), relay protection information system. These provide the tools and means for the dispatchers to manage grid, and promote the change of dispatchers working methods from empeiria to analyticity.This dissertation, in the case of Anhui grid, introduces the current development of grid, and implementation on the real-time monitoring and accident warning and supporting decision making for Anhui grid dispatchers since 2008. The main purpose of implementation is supporting monitoring grid for dispatchers. In normal, the system assist dispatchers to instantly monitor grid; When breaking down, it will provide supporting decision making for Anhui grid dispatchers.
