Study On Energy Conservation Strategies In Interior Design For Residence Buildings

Modern interior design is an important component of modern building design. Modern interior design applies various novel materials, technologies and modern design techniques in order to provide people with a safe and comfortable manmade interior environment. Its development has over surpassed any period in the history. However, the blindness in its development has resulted in environmental pollution as well as over-consumption of earth resource and energy. With the fasten steps towards urbanization and industrialization in China, dwelling area in urban and rural places completed every years in China is approximately 1.8~2 billion square meters, which takes nearly a half the world total annual building amount. Most of the dwelling buildings are high-consumption buildings. In the total 40 billion square meters' existing buildings, 90% are high consumption buildings. China's building energy consumption per square meter is 2 or 3 times that of the advanced countries. The status quo of high building consumption and low energy saving urges us to schedule the task of saving building energies. Applying energy saving measures in interior design is an irresistible trend in future interior design development which also comprises to the micro-trades of social development.Interior room is the space for people to live in. The aim of interior design is to serve people. As an interior designer, we can not only pursue the sole room elements such as the color, the structure and style, we should pay more attention to the harmony and health of the interior environment as well as the interior energy saving and environmental protection. By the means of analyzing and studying current situations of building energy saving and existing problems in current interior designs in China, this thesis analyzed the relationship between building energy saving and interior decoration designs as well as the main elements that influence interior energy saving designs, in order to solve the ubiquitous contradictions of energy saving and comfortable indoor environment creation from the perspectives of technologies and design techniques. Based on the development of China's building energy consumption,the present situation of China's modern interior design should make full use of modern technology to develop and use new energy sources. Full use of solar energy should be made to achieve interior energy-saving, using green lighting design, and reconstructing roofs, windows, envelopes of existing residential buildings for energy-saving. Promoting the use of green environmental decoration materials, create a pleasant environment of light and color. From a perspective of sustainable development, we should try best to create indoor environment of practical energy saving, comfort and environmental protection. It is also a new topic that must be taken seriously in current indoor decoration and related industries.
