| Based on psychological principles, the article quantitatively studies the spatial material characteristics of ordinary university classrooms from the perspective of visual perception assessment. The dialectic between sensibility and rationality runs through the entire architectural development, and architecture should not be an architect’s selfintoxicated artwork or a cold digital template.Visual perception is the most common and direct way for people to perceive space. It should be used as the starting point of design and build a bridge between people and space with the externalized material features of the building. This happens to provide a scientifically optimized entry point for solving the perceptual needs of teachers and students in university general classrooms and the space design.Since the 19 th century, the theoretical methods of visual perception and architectural space have been explored in the fields represented by environmental psychology and perceptual phenomenology. However, due to the difficulty of the "transformation" of perception data-graphic model-building operation,it is difficult for research to advance to design practice. There are two main problems: real-state space interference factors hinder control variables and special purification, and no targeted results can be obtained;there is no clear and unobstructed logical clue between perception quantitative data and architectural strategy.Until the 21st century, through the interdisciplinary research of statistics, psychology, and medicine combined with the research of specific spaces, the field has made the latest breakthroughs-correlation and quantification, coupled with the rapid development of virtual reality technology, which brings the research of visual perception closer to the practical application of architecture.Venus: VR provides a platform for immersive multiarchitectural space experience to resolve the crux of "transformation" in architectural visual perception. It can perform comparative "purification" research on the control variables of a single architectural feature to screen out interfering factors. In order to obtain the precise logical relationship between the building material characteristics and visual perception;Semiha Ergan et al.in 2018,based on the research review in the field of perception quantification, combined with the SD and PANAs scales, and instructively summarized the two types of perceptions corresponding to the school,15 pairs of adjectives and 11 architectural features. In this paper, the exploration of quantifying the material characteristics of classrooms based on visual perception assessment is launched. In order to derive the correlation strength and internal law of the overall and subitem of material characteristics and visual perception, the numerical range of spatial characteristics corresponding to the best states of perception can be quantified, and then the design of classroom characteristics that can improve people’s spatial perception and relieve students’ stress and anxiety can be derived.Strategy.The article first establishes a universal university classroom prototype, and on this basis, the prototype is modified with control variables for 7 key features, and 5 data comparison scenes are set for each feature.Secondly,7 groups of 35 virtual scenes are imported into the VR platform;then The participants take the group as a unit to experience and perceive the control scenes in VR and make the corresponding SD visual perception evaluation and preference ranking, and then perform ANOVA and other analysis on the data results to trace the source to study the visual perception state corresponding to each feature;finally,The correction feedback of visual perception is used to obtain the optimal parameter value range of 7characteristics,and the correlation optimization of different single characteristics is combined to form a complete classroom space material characteristic optimization verification. After refining and combing the literature related to architectural visual perception,to the establishment of a quantitative evaluation logic system,to the parameter evaluation and quantification led by VR experiments,to the establishment and re-verification of the overall optimization model combined with the architectural design strategy, and the progress is advanced. The research has reached the following conclusions:1)A special visual perception study on a single architectural feature found the effective correlation between visual perception and architectural space features, and promoted the establishment of a logically clear and evidence-based research technical route, which has universal applicability in humanized architectural practice.2)To verify and deepen the related research of Ergan et al.,to advance the school’s visual perception from qualitative to the 7 characteristics of the classroom and the three types of perception6 pairs of perceptual adjectives(relaxed-tension,energetic-drowsy,happy-depressed,Freedom-restraint,calm-irritability,concentration-dispersal)qualitative and quantitative;3)From the visual perception feedback of the participants to the characteristic scene, analyze the overall and internal connection rules between the 7 characteristics and the 6visual perception sub-items,The related characteristics of visual perception, from strong to weak, are: the setting of natural greening outside the window, average area, indoor table and chair placement, window size, ceiling height, artificial lighting color temperature and indoor wall color are not significant;Realize the quantitative refinement of features on the basis of classification and qualitativeness, and obtain the best recommended value range of 7 features and the optimal value of perceptual single item;4)Based on the above results, combined with architectural design strategies, through the general university The reorganization of the 7 spatial features of the classroom verifies the overall effectiveness of the improvement of the spatial features. The main tasks of each part of the article are as follows: Chapter 1 proposes research questions, clarifies the research object and purpose, and constructs the logic of research thinking;Chapter 2 analyzes and sorts out related research theories and methods;Chapter3 builds on the basis of the previous two chapters.Develop a framework for the entire VR experimental research, consolidate the experimental foundation from the two aspects of the classroom prototype and the selection of characteristic adjectives, and then promote the in-depth preparation of the experiment(including feature grading, questionnaire formulation,VR scene modeling, observation Perspective setting, etc.);Chapter 4 is the core of the research, closely following Chapter 3 to carry out the correlation study between classroom characteristics and visual perception, including two major modules of specific experimental process and result analysis, through the detection and analysis of experimental data, qualitative and quantitative results The best value range of each feature;Chapter 5 absorbs the conclusions of Chapter 4,and conducts verification and practical verification of the overall optimization of the classroom;Chapter 6 is the summary of results and enlightening prospects. As an exploration of visual perception to guide architectural space design practice, this article provides a reference method for related research, and also provides a parametric basis for the design of 7 spatial features closely related to the perception of stress, anxiety, resilience, etc.in ordinary university classrooms. |
