Helix tube is a special kind of pipeline, the advantages as follows compacted structure, high heat exchange rate, small dirt heat resistance, easily manufacture and so on. New environmental protection refrigerant whatever as pure refrigerant or mixed refrigerant have good performance in air condition and medium temperature refrigeration or new equipments. In order to realize the parametric design of helix tube which consists of programming language and design variable parameters, secondary development of SolidWorks2007 was investigated by Visual Basic 6.0 programming software. Design ideas, technical points and processes of helix tube parametric design were described by a practical example. The helix tubes with different structure were established by the parametric design. Select CosmosFloworks as simulation software which adopts helix tube itself, this beyond tradition advantage, the flow friction coefficient adopts actuall length not equallvent, more fit big pitch states. The fluid finite element analysis of helix pipe was carried out by CosmosFloworks, and research on variable helix tube.The design process of helical pipe can be simplified and the efficiency can be improved by the parametric design of VB and SolidWorks, and gain date of flow friction coefficient and heat exchange coefficient of helix tube has great significance for the design and manufacture of other resemble type components.
