Research On Plant Landscape Construction In New College Campus

Along with the current domestic higher education fast development, the conditions of college and university are corresponding improved. The new campus can be seen everywhere. But it is too short to plan the plant landscape on the rapid construction process, which makes the unreasonable phenomenon in the planting landscape in the new campus. The result of plant landscape is far from meeting the target of planning, and affect the value-in-use of new campus.The article views on the plant landscape, which is one of the most important elements in the campus landscape. Through reading literature and analyzing cases, it wants to find methods to build better landscape.Zhejiang University is a key comprehensive university whose fields of study cover philosophy, literature, history, education, science, economics, law, management, engineering, agriculture, medicine and etc. Construction of Zijingang campus, the new campus of Zhejiang University is a disposable project with the largest area and the most expense in the higher education school's history. The landscape planning and construction was based on the original topography, which provides a variety of site conditions to build different plant landscapes. Some methods in Chinese Classical gardens such as digging lakes and heaping hill were also used. Also this article not only describe the main thinking in plant landscape construction, including "piece" "garden" and "line", but also advises some adjustments and changes, which can be refereed in the future.Then the article analyses tree species and plant communities in Zijingang campus. Through comparing new photos of transplanted big trees with old photos of those trees just transplanted, the big tree species suitable for transplanting were proposed.Finally the article gives some suggestions for improvement in light of some existing problems in plant construction of Zijingang campus, hoping to help to provide valuable experience and advice about Zijingang campus of landscape construction in the future.
