At present, human activity caused by global warming has become an international concern. In order to realize sustainable development, the enterprise must switch to low carbon manufacturing mode. Many enterprises have strong low carbon consciousness, but there are lots of difficulties in the implementation of low carbon manufacturing strategy:Lack of low carbon manufacturing knowledge resources; Lack of product carbon footprint calculation methods and tools; Lack of low carbon design concept and method; Lack of low carbon design navigated tools; Lack of low carbon manufacturing assessment system, etc.To solve the problems above, this study, which is supported by the National 863 Projects and the Major Scientific and Technological Projects of Zhejiang Province, makes deep study on enterprise low carbon manufacture information service technologies. The corresponding research results are verified and applied by a garment enterprise. The first chapter describes the background of low carbon manufacturing, and reviews the present situation of the research related to low carbon manufacturing. Based on this review, it puts forward the urgent need of the study on low carbon manufacturing, and points out the problems to be solved and the significance of this study. Finally, the contents and overall architecture of this study are put forward. In the second chapter, the concept of low carbon manufacturing is put forward, and its structure and content are analyzed, based on which the enterprises low carbon manufacture information service technological framework is constructed. Then, the key technologies, such as the enterprise low carbon manufacturing knowledge service technology, as well as the relationships between technologies are analyzed. This study provides the overall framework of low carbon manufacturing information service research, and specified the key points of the following study. The third chapter illustrates the concept, the function and the related standards of product carbon footprint, and puts forward the product carbon footprint calculation method, mainly from drawing product life cycle process maps, determining system boundary, collecting product life cycle data, calculating the product carbon footprint and analyzing the carbon footprint. This study provides the product carbon footprint forecast for the low carbon design, and the product carbon footprint supervision for the low carbon manufacturing implementation. In the fourth chapter, the significant part that low carbon design plays in the low carbon manufacturing is stated, and the contents of low carbon design based on the design process is analyzed. Besides, the 0-1 goal programming model is put forward to solve the design scheme optimization problem. Finally, an example of 100 pieces of polyester shirts is produced to prove the feasibility of this research. In the fifth chapter, in order to solve the problem of knowledge network disorder and the easily lost direction during design process, the cognitive map is introduced into the knowledge network as a kind of knowledge representation tool and navigation tool. Then, the knowledge network is visualized to guide staff on low carbon knowledge learning, as well as assisting designers on low carbon manufacturing design. In the sixth chapter, the above theory and method is applied to a garment enterprise, and the garment enterprise low carbon manufacture information service platform and frame model is constructed. Then, the garment enterprises low carbon manufacture information service system is developed, and the application of the above theory and method is verified. In the seventh chapter, all achievements and innovations of this study are summarized, and the future research direction is put forward.
