Based On The Concept Of Green-transportation Shijiazhuang Transport System Planning

Throughout the city development, it can be seen that the development of transportation and that of the city can be regarded as an inseparable organic whole, since they influence each other. However, with the sustained economic growth, the development of urbanization and industrialization has sped up. The traffic problem has become a major barrier to sustainable social and economic development of cities. In such a situation, the "Green Transportation" came into being. Green transportation is the only way to achieve the sustainable development of transportation. Its essence is the scalability of resources, environment and system. It aims at pursuing the freedom of human rights, including the harmony, security and health of human-beings, environment and society. Green transportation not only indicates the degree of a nation's civilization, but also represents to what extent has the modern society and economy developed.This paper intends to study the concept and framework of the green transportation planning in the context of sustainable development, examine the transportation problems in urban areas and their causes, develop the plans of the green transportation system, and summarize the scope of the application of green transportation.Taking ShiJiazhuang as an example, this study intends to make a comprehensive evaluation of the current transportation planning, and develop the green transportation plans which will adapt to the development of urban transportation, including improving the pedestrian environment, building new walking streets, establishing the transportation network for bicycles, improving the facilities in the bicycle parking lot, accelerating the development of urban public transportation, encouraging people to use public transportation, strengthening the system of transfer centers, taking measures to achieve the rapid convergence of all modes of transportation, making use of the intelligent green management system and new energy structure in order to improve the traffic environment, enhancing the awareness of public participation, and promoting the green travelling behaviors etc. The study aims at providing best practices of transportation planning including the energy saving, comfortable and efficient transportation and green culture.
