Nowadays, increasingly serious energy crisis has accelerated human needs to use and develop new energy. For humans, solar power is an inexhaustible energy source, therefore,using photovoltaic effect to convert solar power to electricity is a very important solution to energy crisis. However, most photovoltaic power plants are built in remote, scattered, hostile regions, not easy for monitoring, also restrict the promotion of photovoltaic technology seriously. To solve the problem, a remote monitoring and controlling system of power stations which is based on digital signal process and general packer radio service technology are designed in this paper. The system is very practical for its multiple functions and performance of Low energy consumption.The running status information of the power plants collected by system including current, voltage, temperature for instance, are sent to micro processor unit by signal conditioning circuit and processed and then sent to the monitoring center computer through the GPRS network.The whole process from device selection to system building is described in detail, Working principle and implementation process are also introduced. The system consists three parts: research and design of monitoring system, construction of communication system and the development of central controlling system. In the design of monitoring system, TMS320F2812 was used as micro process unit, debug, power and other functional block was also realized with signal conditional circuit. Based on the analysis of communication requirements, structured programming method, advantages of GPRS wireless network as well as communication mode were used to achieving the system. What is more, it depicted how to realize the data transfer. All the information about power station running status was processed in central control system, which was completed in visual C++6.0.Finally, the whole system was debugged and verified by experiments, results show that the system has a good performance, fully meet the design requirements. the completion of the system also accumulate experience and methods for the application of photovoltaic power plants.
