With the rapid development of urbanization, the big city developed fast in our nations. The number of megalopolis incearced to 102 in 2010 from 34 in 1997.Meanwhile, the speed of growth of the population are increasing fast. The public resource of big city consequently suffer a enormous pressure, especially the per capita traffic resource at a low level, leading to the public traffic condition in big city becoming worse and worse.Because the public traffic is a kind of convenient, cheap and clean vehicle,it is accepted by citizen, and more importance, the development of public traffic is good to improve the bad traffic condition in big city. The public traffic is a typical open, complex network,so in this paper, author used the basic knowledge of complex network, modeled the public traffic network from the point of public bus line network, and do a lot of compute. It provide theory on the progress and improvement of the public traffic of the city of BeiJing. In the beginning, this paper build a complex network considering bus station as a node and line between bus stations as a line. Then calculate the degree, shortest path distance and clustering coefficient of this complex network.Secondly, add the subway network with the model of bus station network and bus line network, then calculate the degree, shortest path distance and clustering coefficient of the general public traffic network.According to the above model and result, the robustness and fragility of Beijing city traffic-station network and traffic-line network were studied. Traffic-station network has a strong robustness for random failures. But has a huge vulnerability for deliberate attacks. Traffic-line network perform similar under both attack mode.At last, making an summary of the results of previous chapters.
