A number of electronic control systems such as battery management systems,motor control systems,transmission control systems,regenerative braking system and ABS systems have been integrated in electric vehicles.A large number ofelectronic devicesand control applications with high requirementsonreal time, will inevitably lead to growth of bodyand complexity of cablingand a series of shortcomings.The SAE-J1939 protocol is the core of the vehicle CAN 2.0B serial communication and control network protocol.It has been widely used in large vehicles, a communication protocol.For the development needs of network communications in electric vehicles, in this paper SAE-1939 protol has been used in the electrical vehicle network systerm. A specific communication protocol has been made. At last we connected all control unit to communicate in order to display information concerned in the LCD touch screen.Firstly, this paper introduces the SAE-J1939 protocol of origin, current state, both inside and out side of its current research and applications.And it also detailed account of the SAE-J1939 protocol network layer, communication theory, address allocation and configuration.Secondly, this paper introduced CAN-BUS network system of a electric vehicle, made a specific communication protocol and defined the bus-related hardware connection, the address of the relevant communications node number, node packet contents.Thirdly,this paper detailed the sofeware implementation of the centralcontrol unit,battery management unit,drive unit and control unit air conditioning system. It also analysised each node of the CAN-bus messages to send, receive process.And then it gave a specific communication software design and introduced the design of the LCD touch screen touch interface.Finally,we connected all units to communicate. Information concerned was successfully displayed on the LCD touch screen in real time.
