With the globalization of information, computer technology and the rapid development of geographic information technologies, many professionals are involved in information technology to GIS work. The traditional road maintenance system has been behind the times of development. Urban road traffic as the main body of the city, its conservation and management also made new demands and challenges, many countries and cities have put into the construction of roads in the geographic information system. GIS road Management system has been widely carried out and applications. Visualization of geographic information technology management and powerful spatial query analysis is an essential technologies of road maintenance and construction.According to the user's specific requirements and combining GIS system and traditional MIS system, this GIS-Based Urban Road System has integrating the GIS graphical user interface and the advantages of traditional information management systems. This article focuses on the design and development of the system.Through the comparing of the development of software and development tools, we finally choose SuperMap Objects and C# as the tools and has solved the dynamic partition sections and the connection of spatial data and attribute data.At last, the system shows the main function, and summed up the outcome of this work to the direction of future work.
