With the development of our national economy, high-rise buildings come to the fore, they can save a vast emerging urban land, shorten the public facilities and municipal pipeline network, thus reduce the development cycle, speed up the construction of municipal investment city, and small high-rise building structure in the residential building is widely applied. Reinforced concrete short shear wall structure as a structure with resisting lateral force has been widely used in high-rise residential building. How to evaluate and ensure high-rise residential structure in the reliability and security of seismic action based aseismic design, is the important issue. In this paper, the Guangzhou Military Region, Television Centre, an instance of an apartment building this project, using Midas/Building software for small high-rise residential short shear wall structure of the Pushover analysis and dynamic analysis, the results for small high-rise short Shear wall structural system to provide a theoretical basis for seismic design. This paper mainly studies the problems and the obtained results are as follows:Description of small high-rise residential buildings and concrete shear wall structure of the concepts and forms. Details Midas/Building software applications in structural analysis and the pushover that used Pushover analysis and dynamic analysis method.With an engineering example, a finite element model of high-rise shear wall structure and the earthquake in many under severe earthquake Pushover analysis, the structure of the performance point, failure mechanism, the order of the appearance of plastic hinges, Pushover Correlation curve, revealed in the case of rare earthquake more than a small rise shear walls under the structure of the actual yield, to find the structural system under earthquake and the weak position.
