Synchronizer can be meshing the two parts of different gear before the engagement to achieve the same speed, and avoiding the impact of shift and noise teeth generated effectively. It widely used in modern automotive transmission. Synchronizer determines the performance of transmission shift quality.With the continuous development of automotive technology there're a higher transmission performance requirements, new product development is based on a large number of tests which based on advanced test equipment for products R & D to provide accurate and reliable scientific evidence and shorten the development cycle, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises. At present, the domestic auto industry mainly relies on foreign technology, for the synchronization of the R & D Test Bed, the core technology is mainly focused on the power of inertia and shifting robot. Research and development of such a test rig has made some achievements but which in the core technology are foreign similar products, most of the test-bed technology is not high enough. Therefore, the synchronization performance test platform for the study has important significance.Based on the studing of domestic and foreign research and development test bed synchronizer status quo and in the light of the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee Transmission Technical Committee draft standards for the automotive industry "QC/T568-1999 ","QC/T568.1-2010", Japan" JASO-C203 ",the hardware design and software design of synchronization of mechanical transmission test platform are introduced. The process of inertial lock ring type synchronizer mathematical modeling is also introduced.At last; the performance of the synchronizer was tested by using test bed with simple evaluation. Introduces the hardware design test bed composed of various functional modules, test bench is powered by AC motor drive through anti-drag way. The shift robot achieve the shift using two stepper motors.The software was build based on virtual instrument technology including automatic control test and programming methods which including AC motor control based on Modbus serial communication.The software high-speed data acquisition based on the Advantech PCL-1711 data acquisition card and system measures to prevent interference with the program realization are intruduced. Actual use by the late commissioning and validation, the entire test system can test the performance of synchronization function.Using the test bench, we conducted a large number of simultaneous transmissions measured synchronization performance Test, get the corresponding performance parameter data. The evaluation through the synchronization,the synchronization process and synchronization ability are intruduced. We got fairly and satisfactory results at last.
