High-speed rail, as an efficient, low power, large capacity transportation is booming in the international arena. High-speed railway in China started late, but the develops rapidly, and China will be built by 2012 more than 800 high-speed rail passenger stations. High-speed Rail passenger station have had a tremendous impact at all levels of urban space, especially the passenger station located on the edge of down town, with a significant advantage of the traffic, have integrated and have being the important urban catalyst in this area..The second chapter based on the theory of the Concentric Zone theory, urban catalyst, TOD and low-carbon transport theory, studies related factors influencing the traffic of High-speed railway passenger station new area related factors, analyzes the influence of urban development background, station location, area function orientation and the base current conditions to comprehensive traffic network planning.The third chapter, firstly by comparing the research, analysis the relation and distinction between high-speed railway passenger station new area and existing railway station area. And then from two aspects of new area range and related range, studies the comprehensive traffic network planning of high-speed railway passenger station new area systematically. Through collecting 24 new type and 10 rebuilt type high-speed railway passenger station area planning drawings, qualitative and quantitative research the road network basic form, road network structure, road ratio, traffic transfer mode and traffic facilities layout of the new area; By analogy the high-speed railway passenger station new area and satellite city, studies the traffic cohesion way between the new area and city center and other important grouping.The fourth chapter based on the research of the third chapter, summarizes the currently existing Problems of the new area transportation planning:new city scale expansion, and city cohesion, flawed ratio at various levels of big differences, the road traffic vehicle travel low ratios and environmental degradation. Then put forward from five aspects of the comprehensive traffic network planning of the new area. Finally from four aspects of traffic prediction, network planning and traffic facilities layout, and city traffic cohesion and improving the motor vehicle travel, explores traffic optimization strategy. The fifth chapter With Wuhan railway station as an example, from two aspects of new area range and related range, discusses the comprehensive traffic network planning of Wuhan railway station area.
