In power grid planning practice, Langfang Power Supply Company once had very complicated process of data collection and analysis, load forecasting as well as graphics demonstration due to lack of modern information tools. To solve the problem, the company developed a computer aided decision-making system for grid planning with related theories of enterprise management.In this paper, by combining the domestic and overseas advanced grid planning experience and on the basis of the analysis of Lngfang current grid planning, computer decision system is introduced into the Langfang grid planning work. Establishing more advanced grid planning model and control the development process effectively. Applying the system which is based on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition, all historical data could be shared reasonablly and managed effectively with standard collection, safe storage and scientific analysis, promoting the standardization, automation and efficiency of information management. Through open and overall integration of forecasting methods, a load forecasting method base and a comprehensive forecasting model is set up, which result to coordination of multiple forecasting methods, constantly enhancing the capability and efficiency of load forecasting with the more scientific and comprehensive methods. With the help of the system, grid planning of different layers and different planning-years may be integrated on PowerNet GIS graphics platform. Grasping increased information on grid structure, Langfang Power Supply Company is provided with more effective references in grid planning. The company also adopted project management methods to control the system developing effectively, so as to guarantee progress and high quality of the system construction.
