With the development of IEC61850 standard, Electronic Transformers, Intelligent Circuit Breakers, Network Technology, the theory of digital substation has been mature. The digital substation shows characteristics of intelligent devices, uniform standard and model, and network communication. In digital substation, sampled value and status information can be transmitted through optical fibers, and shared within the substation. Therefore, digital substation provides conditions for the study of integrated protection.Accordingly, this paper proposes a scheme for Integrated Protection to achieve all the protection of substation in a central computer. Integrated protection can enhance the reliability and improve the capability of the protection, and it can reduce the hardware configuration to decrease the investment. This paper studies the implementation process of the Integrated Protection scheme, including the design of Communication Network, Data Acquisition Unit, and the frame of Integrated Protection Device. In the implementation process, firstly, we analyze the function of the ED, and create the object model of the ED. Then we create the SCL document based on the object model of the IED. Secondly, we analyze the SCL to create a DOM tree in the Memory, and confirm the structure of the Real-time Database based on the DOM tree. Then we confirm the storage structure of the database, design the Real-Time constraints and the interface of the RTDB. Finally, we study the mapping method between Abstract Common Services Interface (ACSI) and Manufacturing Message Specification (MMS), in order to achieve information exchange between the different Application Process.
