Nowadays, attraction-type magnetic levitation as a type of magnetic levitation technology has been mature enough, such as Shanghai maglev train in China and different kinds of magnetic bearings. Repulsion-type magnetic levitation technology is another important type, compared to the attraction-type magnetic levitation, it is more conducive to be widely used due to its simple structure. However, because of problems in technology and research, the six-DOF repulsion-type magnetic levitation system is still be devoloping. Therefore, the research on magnetic array of repulsion-type magnetic levitation system is meaningful to theory and reality applications.In this paper, the principium of magnetic levitation technology is outlined, the different kinds of magnetic levitation technology is introduced, the research status and technology research and development is also presented. A kind of magnetic array of repulsion-type magnetic levitation system is designed, which includes magnetic array of fixture and floating part. Based on the magnetic field from the magnetic array, the working principle of this repulsion-type magnetic levitation system is presented. A model of this system is made according to research progress and experimental environment, which is a simple structure of repulsion-type magnetic levitation system. A hybrid magnetic array is used in the model of fixture. Then, the mathematical model of this simple system is completed, a control method is chose based on the mathematical model, circuit of the control system is designed.PIC16F877A is heart of the circuit. Other parts of the circuit are sensor module, IGBT module, SCI module and so on. PIC16F877A determines the PWM according to the measurements of sensor module and fuzzy PID algorithm of control system. Finally, program is wrote, including A/D module, fuzzy PID algorithm module, PWM module, SCI module and so on.In the experimentation of the simple system, each module is tested one by one, the results of sensor module, PWM module, IGBT module are satisfied. The result of the whole test of the system do meet the requirement which had been expected. The single-freedom repulsion-type magnetic levitation system is completely controlled.
