With the development of smart grid, electric vehicles (EV) are currently widespread concerned as mobile energy storage device. V2G and the related technologies are studied domestically and abroad. The domestic large-scale centralized charging stations begin to emerge with the development of EV and lithium-ion battery technology, providing a basis for V2G research. This article aims to combine traditional EPS (Emergency Power Supply) functions of V2G to replace or assist independently EPS device. Feasibility of this combined function is researched from the structure, strategy, implementation principle and other aspects. The research status and significance are outlined and the structure of EPS function realization of V2G is analyzed. Charging stations are divided into centralized and decentralized according to the type of charging EVs. Then the structure of EPS function realization of V2G is detailedly classified based on the type of charging/discharging bus and those classifications are contrasted.Strategy of EPS function realization of V2G is analyzed and general strategy of EV selection in charing station is researched, providing a basis for the implementation of the station side strategy. The model, algorithm, entry strategy and exit strategy of EPS function realization of V2G are presented both from grid and station sides.Island strategy of EPS function realization of V2G is analyzed. Basic principle of traditional island detection is introduced and the difference between V2G island strategy and traditional island strategy is analyzed. Island strategy of EPS function realization of V2G is presented, providing support for grid side strategy.V2G charger/discharger modeling and simulation are presented. Each part of charger/discharger is shown from structure and control aspect. Simulink model of charger/discharger is set and correspongding simulation results are analyzed. The conclusions show that the model can achieve realization of V2G function and meet the needs of EV users.
