The high-speed railway in China has the characteristics that are a short construction cycle,a large network scale and a high system complexity.By the end of 2010, the network scale and configuration scale of high-speed train about high-speed railway in China has took the first place in the world. How to establish an effective method about high-speed railway safety analysis and the accident evolution mechanism, has become the bottleneck which high-speed railway safety changes from the passive response to active prevention. Therefore this paper try to research the accident evolution mechanism of high speed railway using the dissipative structure theory. First, a high-speed railway system safety factor sets was built through the analysis of high-speed railway system from human-machine-environmental-management. Secondly, for a typical accident, determining which safety factors involved and choosing which safety factors as the input of analysising high-speed railway accident mechanism is the most important problem to slove. A method of building the typical accident safety factor sets based on entropy was introduced, and a derailment accident was calculated to get the safety sets of derailment accident. Finally, based on the safety factor sets, the high-speed railway system complies with the four conditions of dissipation structure compared to the characteristics of high speed railway operation system analysis, and we use the variable features of Dissipative structure to analyze the accident evolution mechanism of high speed railway. A entropy flow mode of high-speed railway system was established with a flow calculation method. As a result a derailment accident was calculated to verify the rationality and reliability of this method based on the safety factor sets of derailment accident.
