The new type slanting plate plunger pump which multi-cylinder was circumference equispaced was used to transport the crude oil. In Liaohe Oil region's Shuguang Extraction factory,the test indicated that the higher the crude oil's dynamic viscosity was,the bigger the hydraubic loss in entrance valve. The crude oil was unable to fill the hydraubic cylinder smoothly under the atmospheric pressure in intake stroke time.The plunger pump's flow rate and efficiency reduced,the noise increased.Therefor,an axial-flow pump was designed to ensure that the plunger pump's flow rate recovered rated value,which pushed crude oil into the plunger pump for enhancing the energy of the crude oil.The vane angle differentials between hub and shroud which designed by traditional methods was tremendous,the blades distorted seriously. The practical effect of the design which equal axial speed and export circulation was not ideal.Axial-flow pump's hydraulic model was designed by streamline method,the angle of attack increased from hub to shroud,and the span was 0 degrees to 3 degrees.Crude oil's dynamic viscosity was larger than water's,the characteristic curves were different when axial-flow pump transported crude oil or water.Used FLUENT for numerical simulation and analysed contrastive characteristic curves both water and crude oil,through changed installation angle to decide the prototype actual size parameter of the axial-flow pump.In laboratory did two sets of performance tests which included the single plunger pump and installed axial-flow pump,analysed the improved effect of plunger pump performance.Numerical simulations indicate that the two kinds of characteristic curves are geometric similarity.When the liquid is crude oil,the pressure head decreases,the hydraubic efficiency decreases by 50 percent under the action of viscosity force.While the similar curves indicate that crude oil's flow region is wider than water,pump can adapt more working conditions.Compared with different installation angles, negative 4 degrees is appropriate as a sample processing parameter for better pressure head and hydraubic efficiency.The test data indicates that, after installed the axial-flow pump, the plunger pump's flow rate improves obviously as the exit pressure increases from 1.0MPa to 2.5MPa gradually, the efficiency is higher than 85% under the rated pressure.In Liaohe Oil region,after installed axial-flow pump, the test indicates the plunger pump's flow rate and efficiency all achieve rated value under rated pressure, the efficiency increases by 31.6%, the noise meets the limiting value requirement.It has actual significance that through installs the charged axial-flow pump to improve the plunger pump conditions, which include decreasing flow rate and decreasing efficency,also increasing noise.
