This thesis was supported by the Program of Dalian Science and Technology under Grant No.2009E13SF177. The purpose of this program is to develop new and renewable energy for the Buoy Device. Currently, the energy used on Buoy Device includes the conventional energy sources (such as the land batteries, diesel generators and so on) and some renewable energy sources (mainly contains solar energy and wind power). However, the wave energy which is abundant and easy to get was used very little. Thus, this article focuses on the utilization of wave power and develops a new device to supply enough energy for the Buoy.Firstly, the structures and principles of those devices in the literatures related to buoy's wave power generation device were studied, then, their advantages and disadvantages of each device were analyzed. A new power generation device contains hydraulic drive and the electromagnetic technique for the Buoy Device was put forward.Secondly, after analysis of the using scope of the current wave theory, Airy wave theory was chosen as the theoretical basis for this article. To make full use of the wave characteristics, the wave generation device was designed through AutoCAD. This device contains two parts:wave energy collection section and wave energy conversion section. The wave energy collection section mainly uses a float to follow the wave's vertical motion to capture wave energy. A combination mechanism of hydraulic power generation and electromagnetic generation was used to convert wave energy in the wave energy conversion section, which can improve the energy conversion efficiency.Thirdly, this thesis focuses on the wave energy absorption and conversion system. The shape of the float was chosen based on the analysis of wave force acted on the floats with different shapes. In order to improve the wave energy absorption efficiency, the resonance between float and the wave was used. Then the structure parameters of the float were chosen. The hydraulic wave energy conversion system was designed, and the rule for the component selection was given.Fourthly, a mathematical model of the system was developed and the simulation experiment was conducted through the software MATLAB/SIMULINK. The principle of the system was verified, and the system parameter was optimized based on the simulation results.
