The Research Of Waterfront Landscape Planning And Design Of Nanning City

This paper is base on Nanning city waterfront landscape as the research object. It analyses the historical evolution and the waterfront development of Nanning urban planning. At the same time, it evaluates Nanning's waterfront resources and landscape pattern characteristics. The author surveys the present situation of six areas which been built and some areas which will be built. Basing on the survey, it summary its advantages and disadvantages. The advantages include abundant water resources; many open space; natural background; the support of government. The disadvantages include the lack of other garden; the terrible water quality; the lack of characteristics; some shortages in present; the artificial revetment; the lack of later period management; the low public participation. It puts forward Nanning waterfront landscape construction strategy for reasonable protection respectively. The strategy include the protection and exploitation, the suitable urban green space system planning, the designing of urban water environment management, the development of its ecological and hydrophilic, perfecting the relevant policies and laws, the strengthening of the government and the public communication. Finally, based on the landscape design theory, it discusses Nanning city water-front landscape design patterns. It provides certain references for waterfront landscape development and utilization of resources in Nanning city in the future.
