With the accelerated urbanization process, urban areas are beginning to the evolution of great expansion of urban agglomerations. Urban zone, metropolitan or urban populations continue to emerge, and for an extremely fast pace, leading to a serious shortage of regional traffic demand. This large metropolitan area, urban areas or towns stretching group formation requires the help of a sound regional or inter-city transportation network. Regional inter-city rail with its fast, large volume, low pollution, high frequency characteristics of the grid, is the best way to solve the growing traffic between supply and demand.And it can effectively meet the needs of the city's main means of transport. The study of transfer and mediation between inter-city rail and the various transport modes has become essential. Urban transport development trend is the integration among different modes of transport. Through the connections and infiltration between internal and external transport, the systematic and integration of transportation organizations, the systematic and three-dimensional transportation hubs, form a highly efficient transport system.This paper introduces the basic knowledge of this new type of rail regional inter-city rail and transfer system of regional inter-city rail. Then it analyses the impact factors of transfer system such as the characteristics of passenger flow, passenger services, travel intentions, the station facilities and transportation organization forms etc. Then, it researches the internal transfer organization of the inter-city rail. Aslo, this paper studies the transfer layout and organization between inter-city rail and other modes of transportation. In the studying, we analyse the different forms of transfer organization in order to meeting passenger demand and improving the efficiency of transfer system. It has reference value for rail transit design of transfer stations. Afterwards, according to their own characteristics of regional inter-city rail (different from the ordinary national railway and urban mass transit), it studies integration optimization model of the regional inter-city rail transfer hub. Through the analysis of the transfer distance, transfer time, the scale of transfer station, we reach a conclusion of the integration optimization model. And with the Changzhutan regional inter-city railway as an example we illustrate the transfer system. Finally, the paper evaluates the impact index of transfer efficiency system by comprehensive evaluation method. And make the Beijing South Railway Station and Shanghai Railway Station as an illustrative example.
