As an important part of the urban transportation system, Comprehensivepassenger transport terminal is the cross point of the various transport modes andeffective conversion place for different transport modes between urban internal andexternal traffic, meanwhile, it also plays an important role in alleviating urban trafficcongestion. However, with the rapid development of the society and economy and theacceleration of the urbanization process, travel demand has increased rapidly, A lot ofproblems appears during the passenger transport terminal operation, for instancetransfer crowded, transfer inconvenience, longer passenger transfer time, lowertransfer efficiency and other issues, it has a strong infection on transfer efficiency. Inorder to reduce the duration of stay and transfer costs of passengers in the terminal,improve the transfer efficiency, also to make the terminal give full play to its transportfunction, it is necessary to study on the transfer organization of the terminal.In this paper, we first focus on the transfer system of comprehensive passengertransport terminal from the system point of view. Traffic mode structure of the typicalterminal is analyzed, transfer facilities within the terminal are classified and servicecapability of different transfer facilities are discussed, meanwhile, the transferstreamline process and influencing factors of the transfer efficiency are also analyzed.As the service principal of the terminal, passengers have specific needs and differentbehavior from the usual in terminal. Based on environmental psychology andbehavioral psychology, the behavior of passengers in the terminal is analyzed in thispaper. The travel behavior of the passengers and speed characteristics on differentfacilities in the terminal are discussed, and emphasis is placed on the passenger pathand facilities choice behavior, on the basis of random utility theory, a binomial logitmodel is used to analyze passenger choice behavior between interlayer facilities. Thestudy on the transfer organization of the terminal is carried from the streamlineorganization point of view. The streamline conflict, streamline bottleneck andstreamline degree are all analyzed on the basis of streamline generation, and anoptimization model on the transfer streamline is proposed based on the passengerutilities cost minimum and the overall capacity of the terminal maximum. Theoptimization ways on transfer organization is also put forward from direction andflow of the streamline which based on the proposed model, at the same time, the optimal configuration of the information service facilities is presented.Finally, the models and methods proposed in this paper are combined with theLiaoyang comprehensive passenger transport terminal. Based on the determining oftraffic mode structure, transfer relationship and transfer volume between differentmodes, the optimization method on transfer streamline is proposed according to thecharacteristics of the terminal, the overall efficiency of the terminal between beforeand after optimization are also analyzed, it proves that the feasibility of theoptimization method.
