With the worldwide decreasing of oil reserves and the deterioration of ecological environment, the energy crisis and environmental pollution has become the two hot spots that most people concerned about in modern society. And as car ownership continues to increase, the energy crisis and environmental pollution become more severe. At this point new low-carbon, environmentally friendly alternative vehicle fuel begins to be taken seriously. Methanol becomes the focus of research gradually for its pollution, low cost, rich sources. This paper has main studied M15 methanol gasoline's storage stability, lubricity and micro-emulsified diesel's performance, the detailed structure of the thesis is listed as follow:First, analyzed domestic and foreign methanol fuel research and application status, and combine the actual situation in our country, analyzed the feasibility of the development of methanol fuel from several different angles, which lays the theoretical foundation for the following experiments and studies. This paper focused on the M15 methanol gasoline storage stability, including compatibility and oxidation resistance, concluded that we need to add solvent and anti-oxidants to ensure adequate time in the stable. Alcoholizeing biodiesel's miscibility is also studied, discover a low percentage methanol in bio-diesel is better soluble, but further exploration is necessary in order to get better solubility. Alcoholizing biodiesel performance is analyzed. This paper also studied alcoholizing biodiesel and M85 methanol gasoline's lubricity, and found that both need to add anti-wear additives in order to achieve the practical need of anti-wear effect. This paper completed engine testing with micro-emulsified diesel on the Clouds 4100QBZL diesel engine, found that the power performance decreased, fuel consumption increased, CO and HC emissions increased slightly, but the NOx and soot emissions decreased.
