Since the reform and opening up, China highway construction and communication realm have obtained great achievements. The sharply boosting retain number of buses and continuously increasing speed not only play a deceive role in alleviating the growing transportation pressure, but also promote the development of national economy especially bringing vigorous vitality of the region along the expressway.Buses, as the main passengers transportation tool, have more capacity but less safety protection, so the casualties are inevitable once the traffic accident takes place. Especially for the rural areas, the accident always brings many damages, for instance, the trouble could make a great deal of persons die or injure at the same time, which leads to great damages on people's lives and properties. What's more, the accident causes significant influence on the stability of society. If handled improperly, it may develop into instability factors. Because of its close correlation with people's lives and properties, the buses safety makes the government as well as the industries highly valued, meanwhile it has become a hot social issue.Among all the traffic accident forms causing serious damage, crash accounts for the higher proportion, especially the frontal impact for the most. At present, all the main auto producers from all over the world have formulated strict security regulations for frontal crash and test standards for the real car crash. However, the safety research about the bus frontal crash starts relatively late. Although many domestic and foreign businesses have conducted exploratory texts, in addition, all walks of life have also paid much attention to it, there have been never special regulations and test method for buses, therefore it still concentrates in static rollover sides for bus body structure security.Based on our nation's communication security situation and relying on national science and technology support projects, according to the test requirements of frontal impact regulations GB11551-2003,ECE/R94,C-NCAP and the crash test regulation of commercial vehicles' cab of ECE R29, adopting explicit nonlinear FEA procedure LS-DYNA, this thesis carries on 100%RB and swing bob frontal impact finite element simulation analysis to a 6127 coach respectively, researches its deformation characteristics and crash safety, studies the front structure and pilot restraint systems which are relative to the crash safety, provides the bus structure of improvement and optimization measures, discusses the feasibility and relative evaluation index if swing bob is used in the realm of coach frontal crash, puts forwards the test methods and assessment index of coach body structure frontal impact preliminarily, as well as the standard simulation modeling methods.This research results can put references for coach frontal crash of real vehicle test design implementation and safety regulations formulation.
