The Design And Implementation Of Vehicle Player Based On Atom Z510

Vehlicle multimedia player is an important and essential part of an automotive electronic products .The existing mainstream vehicle players is still CD, DVD, users must buy a specific CD/DVD disc in order to use it.In this case,the cost of using CD/DVD is increased to a high level and it is inconvenient to edit the media files that one wants to enjoy either,it falls far behind the mobile electronics entertainment device in the modern electronic market.This article aims to design a vehicle player that allow users to edit the media files he wants to play,and the player shoud play both audio files and video files.Vehicle player is an integrated system consists of hardware,software and application programs.This paper completes selecting and designing the hardware platform of the system, customizing and cutting of the software platform,designing and implementing of the upper application programs.To make a powerful player,the processor Atom Z510 released by Intel is choosed as the core processor of the system's hardware platform.CF card is choosed as the local storage device;LCD screen is configured as the display device;one 2x4 matrix keypad is configured to provide user with key operation.Besides,we extend a variety device interfaces through SCH carried on Atom Z10 processor to provide support for the peripheral device of the system and the expansion and upgrading of the system in the future.The main interfaces we expanded are CF slot,USB port,serial port,network port etc,the circuit desgign of these interfaces is completed in this paper.Concerning about the software platform,we choose Windows XP Embeded(XPE)as the operating system for the system,complete customizing and cutting of it,and install sound driver,video driver,touch screen driver on it.The upper layer applicaton programs is developed by Qt Creator,the main fuction of this part is to complete the playback control of the player which includes both audio playback and video playback.To make it convenient for the user's operation,we designed two human-computer interaction interface that is graphical interface and buttons.At last,we test the system to ensure the function and performance of the sytem.The vehicle player is verified to be a powerful player by testing that it could play both mainstream audio files and mainstream vedio files,meanwhile it support the mainstream audio and vedio coding standars such as MPEG-3,MPEG-4,H.263,H.254 etc.Besides,the player has a beautiful man-machine interface,excellent performance with good portability and scalability,it has high pratical and economic value.
