Research of environment greening should be given primary importance among priorities of urban greening, which immediately concerns the success or failure of greening. Soil condition is muddy saline soil in Dongjiang Port of Tianjin. This paper which were studied with field investigation and experimental determination is based on the theory of environment science, ecology, botany and pedology. This article, by basing on the research of ecological environment and the survey of base situation of greening tree species, grasped afforesting situation. At the same time, using AHP and Delphi, the indicator system of comprehensive evaluation of greening tree species was built, and appropriate greening tree species were selected. Consequently, according to combining of this indicators system and research results of in this area, it can provide technique support and theoretical basis for similar environment greening project. Furthermore, it figures out problem of environmental greening for land, which was formed by filling marine mud. The main conclusions:1) Basic features of eco-environment in Dongjiang Port: abundant sunshine and abundant quantity of heat; drought,waterlogged,saline-alkaline and wind damage together form limiting factors that affects plants. Therefore, factors that tree Species is stronger resistibility, high ecological benefit, high ornamental value, high economic and management benefit will be as premise of selection of greening tree species.2) By integrated using salt-removing project, water supply project, borrowed soil project and planting techniques, it made initial successfully; Design of engineering of afforest is reasonable. Many advanced technical measures for afforestation of saline-alkali land have been adopted with objective realities in Dongjiang Port. It can provide technique support and basic condition for afforestation.3) The soil mechanical composition of Dongjiang Port is dominated by clay and colloidal particle, which lead to badly soil structure, and contains a minor of organic matter. Condition and process of forming aggregate and pore structure were deficient. These lead that quality of soil is heavy and compact. Bulk density was larger. The corresponding capability of water, fertilizer, gas and heat is relatively poor, especially, the permeable and stuffy ability were the worst. Meanwhile, soil salt content remains low. Most of soil pH value is more than 8.5, indeed 8.99. Saline-alkaline is still the main threat to plant growth4) The indicator system of comprehensive evaluation of greening tree species was built, and appropriate greening tree species were selected. There are 34 tree species which were appraised in this article. Some conclusions by the study were as follows: six backbone species: Sophora japonica Linn,Sabina chinensis cv. Kaizuka,Sabina chinensis(Linn.)Ant.,Forsythia suspensa (Thunb.) vahl.,Pinus thunbergii Parl and Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm.Eighteen important species: Robinia pseudoacacia L,Euonymus japonicus Thunb.,Populus tomentosa Carr,Prunus ceraifera cv.Pissardii,Hibiscus syriacus,Althaea frutex,Hort.ex Mill,Paulownia tomentosa (Thunb.) Steud,Rosa multiflora Thunb.,Fraxinus velutina Torr,Albizzia julibrissin Durazz,Sophora jaoonica'Golden Stem',Lonicera maackii( Rupr.) Maxim,Rhus typhina,Malus micromalus Makino,Ailanthus altissima cv.Qiantouchun,Amorpha fruticosa L.,Prunus persica,Ligustrum ovalifolium and Lagertroemia indica.Five accessory and complement species: Gleditsia sinensis Lam,Prunus×cistena'Pissardii',Pyrus spp.,Punica granatum Linn and Salix X aureo-pendula.Five inadequate species:Ailanthus altissima,Rosa xanthina Lindl,Cornus albal,Prunus triloba and Cedrus deodara ( Roxb.) G.Don.
