With the expansion of industrial and the development of science and technology, more and more electric equipments have been used, which bring more and more EMI into power system..The EMI would continually endanger the safty of power system and cause devices operating abnormally. One of EMI is the electromagnetic interference of harmonic wave .The harm of harmonics wave on the power system is from the following points: the harmonic wave increase heat loss of electrical equipment, interfere with its function or even lead to failure. The main content of this paper is to design a measurement system for the detection of electrical equipment on the public power grid generated electromagnetic interference.First of all, this paper briefly introduced the designing specifications and then designing programs of the system and gave the overall hardware block diagram. And secondly, the choice of the hardware and the designing principle was introduced. The measurement system with DSP chip TMS320VC5416 as the core, using the external CPLD as the DSP control circuit. Other hardware circuit, including the 4/1 analog switches AD8184, ADS7818 A / D converter and data acquisition circuits, controlled gain amplifier and the corresponding VCA822, controlling D / A converter DAC7611, as well as the FIFO data memory and the power circuit IDT72V255LA20. The paper also discussed the software designing process, including the principle of harmonic measurement with the fast Fourier transform algorithm, and gives some of the flow chart of procedures. Finally, the entire design and prospects are summarized. The result shows that the system is stable and reliable, and each expected function of the system is achieved.
