External passenger transportation hub is the city's external passenger node, it's the bridging link of various passenger traffic, the layout of the external passenger transportation directly impacts the city's external economic and the city's further develop. But because the layout method of external passenger transportation hub has not been thought too much, the layout theory and method of external passenger transportation hub are still deficient, and should be enhanced. So, based on analyzing twenty domestic cities'present layout situation, this paper started systematic research from the macroscopic view of external passenger transportation hub. Including demand forecasting method, layout mode, location selection method, cohesion optimization, benefit analysis and so on.Firstly, the demand forecasting of external passenger transportation hub directly determines whether hub layout can fit for the city's long-term development, and whether it can achieve the maximization of resource utilization. Then, based on analyzing the influencing factors of passenger demand gross forecasting, combining current forecasting methods, using quadratic programming theory, weight coefficients were confirmed, and then the combination forecasting model based on quadratic programming was constructed.Secondly, the present layout mode classification of the external passenger transportation hub only considers the space position. For compensating this deficiency, this paper put forward a new classification method based on size, space position, intensive degree between each other and urban form, layout mode was divided into five kinds. At the same time, according to the layout principle and the location selection procedure, the location selection method based on FAHP method was proposed. Calculating the importance of every optional external passenger transportation hub, and then providing the theoretical basis for choosing the optimum location of external passenger transportation hub.Thirdly,based on carefully analyzing the current situation of the cohesion between external passenger transport hub and urban traffic in domestic and international cities, the cohesion of external passenger transport hub and service information was put forward, focused on the rail transit and conventional bus, analyzing the cohesion method of external passenger transport hub in station planning, line layout and other sides. At the same time, the cohesion mode of railway hub and metro line was proposed.Finally, taking the benefit of external passenger transport hub as evaluated object, analyzing the part benefit and the whole benefit of external passenger transport hub separately, and selecting the evaluation index, at the same time, consummating the index system of benefit analysis and evaluation of external passenger transportation hub, then consummating external passenger transport hub layout evaluation system.
