Study On The Conservation And Renewal Planning Of The Moat Coastal Area In Historical And Cultural City

Moat is one of the constituent elements with great features in China. As a famous historical and cultural city, moat is an important part of heritage of a modern city. Its development and construction are concerned increasingly by governments and relational disciplines. Also its domain protection and renovation have become a hot research by planners. As the special relevance with modern city space, its planning is different from the general city community and area planning, neither the general rivers or lakes of modern new city planning. So it must be explore a symbiotic way of planning based on the moat and the modern city space.This paper is completed based on author's participating in the research of the ancient moat's protection and plan updated of SuiZhou. It consists of four parts:The first part is an introduction. Defining the relevant concepts,It explains the background, significance, methods and goals of protection and renewal of the ancient city moat protection and updated planning mainly on this basis. And then it proposed research framework of this article.The second part states related research and development trends. The article combs the formation and evolution of the moat systematically. It collate and summarize on theory and practice protection updated of historic city moat domain area.The third part is theoretical analysis. The article summarizes the development and practice of the symbiotic theory. On this basis,this paper argues that the symbiotic theory is core theory of moat protection and updated planning after researches. And made concrete researches for the contents of the moat protection and updated planning from the ecological, functional, industrial, facilities and space of five aspects of the symbiotic.The fourth part is empirical research. This article analyzed formation history of Suizhou city in detail and the evolution of modern urban spatial form. On this basis, it conducted detailed analysis on symbiotic relationship between moat field with original city and new regional in Suizhou and made new program design. The main conclusion: The core concept of ancient moat protection and updated planning is symbiotic relationship between ancient moat field with original city and new regional. Symbiotic planning is the key of ancient moat protection and updated planning.
