Automotive and affiliated parts manufacturing industry are the pillar of our national. The camshaft is the key auto parts, which production line layout of technology is very significant to the national economy. The quality of layout affects the factory's production efficiency, plant utilization, the rational allocation of human and material resources, which significantly affect the overall effectiveness of the enterprise. Efficient layout of the program could reduce production costs, improve productivity, and accelerate response to market demands. Therefore, the layout gets more and more attention in the modern enterprise. This paper carried out the design layout of a study to explore the layout algorithms and the application of simulation technology.Firstly, to do the research based on the balance on the production line, to do the balanced design based on the the camshaft production line of manufacturing processes in determining. According to the target camshaft capacity and processing time of each process to determine the number of devices each process. Arounding the evaluation of the production line balance evaluate the pros and cons of the balance design.Secondly, the camshaft layout issue was discussed to how to build the research for the layout of model. Important parameters of the chromosome coding, chromosome fitness calculation, design of genetic operators are analyzed for the genetic algorithm, winch are based on designing the appropriate solution. For the differences of single and multi-line production line, in the application of genetic algorithms has been studied. By the principle of positioning equipment, sequencing algorithm, the process of sequencing, it determines the final layout of the program.Finally, according to the layout of the program, we can establish a camshaft production line simulation model of the logistics by the use of eM-plant software. Through simulation, we can get the efficiency histogram of the station, which provide the basis of logistics to improve the production line. We can get the optimal solution through improvement what compared with the original program.
